What's Included in a Strategy Intensive

Updated

A Strategy Intensive is QV Brands' fastest, lowest-risk engagement: two to three weeks, $3,500–$7,500, and the foundation everything else builds on. It answers three questions with certainty — what the business actually sells, who it's for, and why it wins — and hands over a written roadmap you can act on immediately, with or without a further engagement.

The Working Sessions

Live strategic sessions with Rick Julian directly — not a questionnaire, not a brief handed to a junior team. These sessions surface what the business actually does well, where the current story breaks down, and what the market genuinely responds to versus what the team assumes it responds to.

The Teardown

A market, category, and competitor teardown — not a generic competitive audit, but a specific read on where the current positioning is invisible, generic, or actively working against the business. This is where most of the "why isn't this working" questions get answered.

The Direction

  • A defensible position — one sentence, repeatable by anyone on the team
  • A named difference the market can actually recognize and repeat back
  • Messaging direction that gives the position language
  • Prioritized strategic moves, in order — what to do first, second, third

The Deliverable

A written strategic summary and roadmap — not a slide deck that gets skimmed once and archived, but a working document built to be referenced when the team makes decisions about pricing, hiring, messaging, and what to build next.

What Happens After

Some businesses stop here — the Intensive alone resolves the immediate constraint. Others move into a Brand & Website Build to give the new position a full expression, or into the Growth & Findability System to make it findable. Nothing is bundled or assumed; the roadmap tells you which move, if any, comes next.

Common Questions

Is the Strategy Intensive enough on its own, or does it require a follow-on engagement?

It's designed to stand alone. Most engagements begin here specifically because it de-risks everything after it — you'll know from the roadmap whether further work is warranted, and what kind.

How is this different from a free discovery call?

A discovery call scopes a project. A Strategy Intensive is the project — two to three weeks of direct strategic work that produces a real deliverable, not a proposal for future work.
